Delete your Crunchy account

You can delete your Crunchy account yourself, from inside the app. You do not need to ask us, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

In the app — the fastest way

Open Crunchy and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Settings.
Tap Delete account.
Confirm. You will be asked to sign in again — this is to make sure it is really you.

Deletion begins immediately and finishes within 30 days.

By email — if you cannot open the app

Write to privacy@thecrunchy.in from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account".

We reply within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. If you write from a different address we will have to verify who you are first, which is slower — the in-app route is better for everyone.

Things worth knowing first

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, and no way for us to restore your streaks or progress afterwards.
Cancel your subscription separately. Deleting your Crunchy account does not cancel a Google Play subscription, and does not refund it. Cancel in Google Play → Subscriptions first, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
Deleting one profile is not the same thing. Removing a profile inside the app clears that person's progress but keeps the account. Use the steps above if you want the whole account gone.
Backups. Deleted data can survive in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before those rotate out. It is not accessible or used during that time.

Just want less data collected?

You do not have to delete everything. In the app you can clear your search history, reset your taste profile, turn off notifications, or delete individual profiles. See the Privacy Policy for what each one holds.
